Description
Purple Lace
This pattern is a fractal pattern that I created using a program called Fractal Maker on my Mac. Fractals are never ending patterns based on mathematical equations. I'll be the first to admit I'm not a math whiz, but I'm amazed at how beautiful a math equation can be. Fractals can also be found in nature. Examples are the nautilus shell, snowflake patterns and even our galaxies.
This pattern is based on the Mandelbrot equation.
The purple spirals remind me of lace hence the name I chose for this artwork. This fractal pattern would look great as a metal or acrylic print. If printing to paper or canvas, choose a glossy paper or canvas as the default matte paper may cause the pattern to lose luster.
This pattern would also look great as a print on phone cases, tote bags or throw pillows for a modern, contemporary look.
I also do custom commissions. For more information, check out my website at www.beckysdigitalart.com or my blog, www.pixelpaintcreations.blogspot.com.
