Secretariat and His Groom

This is a digital drawing of the great racehorse Secretariat sharing a quiet moment with his groom, Eddie Sweat. While most art portrayals of Secretariat are his racing scenes, I really love the candid quiet moment that this scene portrays. This digital drawing is done on an iPad Air 2 using the app ProCreate. I also take commissions for custom portraits and paintings.

Hello, my name is Becky Herrera and I am an artist in the Pacific Northwest. I have been drawing and painting since I was very little and was inspired by and encouraged by my grandfather, who was also an artist. I started out in traditional mediums and mostly worked in colored pencil and charcoal because of the control that you have to achieve the tiny details. Being interested in computers and technology, I have always been fascinated by digital art. I finally was able to get a taste when I got my iPad and found the app ProCreate.
